Catrike has made wider hubs with through-axles standard equipment on all large-wheel models. This change affects the following recumbent trike models: Expedition, 559, Dumont, and 700. The change promotes laterally stronger wheels and prevents movement within the dropouts under load at the expense of compatibility with equipment such as electric hub moters that are designed to the older 135mm dropout widths.

Catrike announces the Eola, a new recumbent trike model for 2019.
Virtually new, ridden less than 15 miles. 24 speed, tadpole style recumbent trike. Includes flag, mirrors, combo light and mounts, seat bag, chain guard, speed and distance computer, water bottle cage, rear rack, trunk pack bag, bike pump, safety bell, and cover. Bike has knee saver adapters installed on cranks. These can be removed. Very little wear due to knee and back injuries. Trunk pack bags are not in the photos but include a main bag that sets on top of the rear rack and panniers on both sides that fold and zip closed when not in use.
Original cost $3000 + $55 cover.
This new hyper-yellow Catrike 700 is one of last 700's produced in this color.
The eye-catching color is best described as a dayglo or tennis-ball color and it contrasts well with the black highlights of the rest of the trike.
