TARTAR Spring 2017 - Recumbent trike ride on Sacramento's American River Trail
An informal ride called Tour of the American River for Trikes and Recumbents TARTAR will be happening in Sacramento and riders from all points will be converging on the Sacramento area to enjoy the American River trail and to meet other recumbent trike riders.
This ride has been happening semi-yearly for quite a while and has gained a strong following.

This trike is so fun you'll look forward to getting out as often as possible. With the big 26" drive-wheel, the Gekko FX26 has great efficiency and stable handling. It has a surprisingly tight turning radius that gets you through the tight spots; mid-range seat height with adjustable seat angle is comfortable and easy to get into; high-performance Avid BB5 disc brakes stop you reliably; and, the 24-speed gearing gets you through any terrain including high-speeds for the break-away.
This new hyper-yellow Catrike 700 is one of last 700's produced in this color.
The eye-catching color is best described as a dayglo or tennis-ball color and it contrasts well with the black highlights of the rest of the trike.
24 speed, tadpole style recumbent trike. Includes flag, mirrors, combo light and mounts, seat bag, chain guard, speed and distance computer, water bottle cage, rear rack, trunk pack bag, bike pump, safety bell, and cover. Bike has knee saver adapters installed on cranks. These can be removed. Very little wear due to knee and back injuries. Trunk pack bags are not in the photos but include a main bag that sets on top of the rear rack and panniers on both sides that fold and zip closed when not in use.
