Trigger shifters on custom HP Velotechnik StreetMachine full-suspension recumbent bike

Owner-customized HP Velotechnik StreetMachine GTE uses wide-range 11-speed cassette, inverse-mounted trigger-shifters, hydraulic brakes, air shock with lockout switch, and more.

Bobby V has built up his StreetMachine from a framekit.

Check it out:

  • Fox air-shock with rider lock-out button on right-side handlebar
  • SRAM GX 2x11 drivetrain with massive range  10-42 cassette
  • SRAM GX trigger-shifters mounted almost Azub-style
  • DT Swiss XR-1501 rear wheel
  • nice little upper seat-pack and neckrest-mounted taillight

A cable stop has been mounted on the front derailleur instead of the standard HP Velo noodle method.

That is pretty work, Bobby. Congratulations!

Azub trikes are adventure ready

Azub will be at AlphaBENT on Wednesday, October 23 to show the latest Czech recumbent technology. Come to for test-rides, and bent-talk.

Catrike has made wider hubs with through-axles standard equipment on all large-wheel models. This change affects the following recumbent trike models: Expedition, 559, Dumont, and 700. The change promotes laterally stronger wheels and prevents movement within the dropouts under load at the expense of compatibility with equipment such as electric hub moters that are designed to the older 135mm dropout widths.
