This idler is second only to the upgraded Elite version.
It has a solid metal core. This prevents any squishiness that would reduce efficiency.
The cog is specially made by Terracycle from 7075 Aluminum. 7075 Aluminum is harder than common Aluminum and holds up in tough conditions. Cogs are used on power idlers so that there is no rubbing on the side plates, so the chain moves through the idler with minimal resistance.
In the center, an aluminum bearing holder has two high-quality, low-maintenance ABEC 7 steel bearings.
The side plates are fiberglass reinforced nylon. Nylon resists solvents and other chemicals in chain lube.
It is all held together with stainless steel fasteners, and nyloc nuts.
